Homes and livelihoods were lost along with a staggering estimated 1 billion animals including Kangaroos, Koalas and Wombats. East Gippsland was amongst the worst hit by these devastating bushfires with many towns folk and tourists forced to flee. The purpose of this tour is to visit many of the towns in the fire affected areas showing our support by increasing tourism in the area and making some direct donations to a few of the smaller towns.

With streets dotted with heritage buildings and an industrial port that mingles effortlessly in with the abundance of wildlife that saturates the area this region has something to offer everyone.

In 1850 he bought a small punt, which operated across the Murray river near the Campaspe Junction. Originally known as “Hopwood’s Ferry” the name was changed to Echuca as the town grew.
