Wednesday 13 May
Enjoy a delightful day out in the beautiful Yarra Valley with a relaxed journey through local history, heritage, and stunning gardens.
Our first stop is the fascinating Yarra Ranges Regional Museum in Lilydale, where engaging exhibitions bring the rich stories of the Yarra Valley to life. Discover the region’s early settlers, Indigenous heritage, and the people who helped shape this remarkable area.
From there, we travel to the charming village of Yarra Glen for a delicious lunch at the historic Yarra Glen Grand Hotel. Established in 1888, this beautifully restored country pub offers classic meals, warm hospitality, and a wonderful setting to relax and enjoy good company.
In the afternoon, we visit the magnificent Coombe Yarra Valley, the former home of world-famous opera diva Dame Nellie Melba. Wander through the breathtaking heritage gardens on a guided tour and hear stories about the life and legacy of Australia’s most celebrated soprano. With sweeping lawns, century-old trees, sculptures, and picturesque pathways, the gardens offer a truly memorable experience.
